About 'The Green Apron'
Throughout my life, I have found that the best conversations had, memories made, and advice received have all taken place around the dinner table. From an early age, I can recall my grandma, a master of post-war staples, showing me how to snap green beans, while my mother, a self taught gourmet cook, seared the meat for that evening's feast.
Call it instinct, or genetics or whatever, but when it was my turn to stand at the stove, I felt at home. I knew that what my mentors viewed as a necessity or a fun hobby, was my destined vocation.
After years of cooking for friends and family, catering dinners and celebrations, I decided it was time to jump in with both feet, and turn my passion into a profession. I created Girl in the Green Apron in order to give others the same opportunity to spend time doing what they love with the ones they love, without having to worry about what was for dinner.
